With the Prostream Client, you can open files directly from Prostream with a program on your computer. This way, you can quickly edit something and upload the edit back to Prostream.

To use the Prostream Client, you must download the desktop app.

• App Store (Note: you need macOS 14.5 or higher for this)

Then go through the following steps:

1. Select the file you want to edit and click on the pencil. Choose Edit document on my computer.

2. The Client then opens the file with the software you selected as the default software for this type of file.

   When you do this for the first time, you may have to give Prostream access to your files.

3. Edit the file as you normally would. Until you publish the file again, it is locked and others cannot make edits.

4. Done? Save the file as you normally would. To do this, simply click Save within the software and do not create a new version in another folder. After this, you can close the file.

5. In Prostream, go back to the folder, select the old version of the file and choose Publish.

6. Check the metadata and choose Save and Close.

7. The new version of your file has been uploaded.
